Hello Kitty x One Kind Thing Campaign 

Brief: This summer, Hello Kitty was on a mission to bring kindness to the nation by encouraging people to do #OneKindThing. As part of this mission, Hello Kitty encouraged everyone to do #OneKindThing for a friend, family member or stranger. With this short brief we kicked off the One Kind Thing campaign in the Netherlands. 

PR Activity: Selwyn Senatori the internationally renowned Dutch Neo-pop Artist, is a big fan of Hello Kitty and the values she stands for. Knowing this, we have asked him to team up with Hello Kitty and the One Kind Thing campaign to create a one-of-a-kind event to help spread the message of kindness. In partnership with online platform The Mom, that has a strong following within the mid- to upper class (working) moms, influencers and celebrities in the Netherlands, we held an exclusive event at the atelier of Senatori. Invitees consisted of a mix of press, celebrities and influencers together with their kids where we had the moms and kids paint little statues of Hello Kitty, with the aim of creating an online buzz where the hashtag #OneKindThing was used together with a fun image of the day, calling everyone to do a kind thing for one-another.

As part of the campaign we were able to secure a two page story with Grazia as apositive story to help spread kindness across the world… 

Note: this event is merely a part of the complete strategy. The campaign was kicked off with an editor’s tour and over the course of the summer we will be holding further event with the Hello Kitty walkaround.
